Galls of Lampronia fuscatella on twigs of birches were searched in spring 2011 in Kanta-Hame, southern Finland. Single galls were found at six localities in Ta Hameenlinna, Ta Hattula and Ta Janakkala on thin twigs of rather young birches (both Betula pubescens and B. pendula). Three specimens of the moth emerged from the galls collected from Hameenlinna and Hattula. In addition, one male of Panteles schuetzeanus (Roman, 1925) (Hymenoptera: Ichneumonidae: Stilbopinae) was reared from a gall found in Hameenlinna and one female of Scambus inanitus (Schrank, 1802) (Hymenoptera: Ichneumonidae: Pimplinae) from a gall found in Janakkala. These are the first rearings of those ichneumonid species from galls of Lampronia fuscatella in Finland.
