comment:
none. Eriborus argenteopilosus (Cameron) (Ichneumonidae), a larval parasitoid of Heliothis armigera (Hubn.) (Noctuidae) displays five successive phages of oviposition behaviour viz., antennal examination of larvae, up-down movements of abdomen, ovipositor thrusting, oviposition insertion and actual oviposition towards its host. The preoviposition, oviposition and post-oviposition periods were 34', 2" and 2 days respectively. The oviposition was stimulated by the leaves damaged by hosts. It was noted that females were fed with host haemolymph after parasitisation.
