Nine parasitoid species emerged from field collected cocoons of Bathyplectes curculionis, a parasitoid of the alfalfa weevil, Hypera postica (Gyllenhal), in southeastern Nebraska in 1982-1983. Four of the parasitoid species, Gambrus ultimus, Coccygomimus sp., Gelis sp., and Itoplectis conquisitor, belong to the family Ichneumonidae. Three, Catolaccus aenoviridis, Trichomalopsis viridescens, and Pteromalus sp., are Pteromalidae. The final two, Spilochalcis albifrons and S. torvina, belong to the family Chalcididae. All of these are new state records. Coccygomimus sp. is apparently a new record for Bathyplectes. none
