none Field trials were conducted at Cotton Research Station, Srivilliputhur during summer 1990 with MCU 5 (irrigated), and winter (rainfed) 1990-91 with JK 861. Gossyplure 0.632 LC (STIRRUP PBW) was applied (10 g a.i./ha) with and without endosulfan (700 g a.i./ha) and fenvalerate. Endosulfan alone and in combination with gossyplure were highly effective, followed by gossyplure alone. Bracon spp. emergence (a parasite) from the kapas in gossyplure-treated and untreated plots was greater than in insecticide-treated plots. This indicates that gossyplure LC can be considered an ideal pest management component for pink bollworm.
