Studies were conducted on the solitary egg-larval endoparasitoid Phanerotoma hendecasisella Cam. (Hymenoptera: Braconidae) to determine its biology on Diaphania indica (Saunders) (Lepidoptera: Pyralidae). Larvae pass through 3 stages as determined by the shape and size of the mandibles. Mean developmental period from egg to adult was 26.51 days at 26.06 degree C and 73.88% RH. There is no preoviposition period. The sex ratio was 1:1.12 (male/female). Mean adult longevity was not different for males and females.
