The majority of C. pyranthe eggs were parasitized by the trichogrammatid Trichogramma chilonis on both host plants. Larvae were parasitized by the ichneumonid Charops obtusus and braconids (Apanteles spp.) which accounted for a maximum of 31.25 and 28.57% parasitism, resp. The chrysopid Chrysopa scelestes (Brinckochrysa scelestes] and insectivorous birds (Passer domesticus indicus and Acridotheres tristis) also preyed on larvae. none
