Five hundred larvae of Agrotis epsilon, A. segetum and A. spinifera [A. biconica] were collected from potato fields in Gujarat, India, during 1986, reared in the laboratory and observed for the emergence of parasitoids. The host larvae yielded 15 Enicospilus merdarius, 11 Macrocentrus spp., 4 Apanteles spp. and 2 unidentified tachinids which accounted for 3.0, 2.2, 0.8 and 0.4% parasitism, resp. Also, 1.6% of larvae were infected with Metarhizium anisopliae. It was concluded that E. merdarius may be a promising candidate for the biological control of Agrotis spp. none
