The effects of water soluble vitamins and lipogenic factors on egg production and hatchability were investigated in adults of the parasitoid Pimpla turionellae. Total egg production and percentage hatching were not significantly affected when thiamin was omitted from the diet, but both were significantly reduced when nicotinic acid and folic acid were omitted individually. Omission of all the vitamins or single omission of riboflavin, Ca-pantothenate, pridoxine, biotin, ascorbic acid, choline chloride and inositol from dices significantly reduced egg production but not egg hatching. Diets lacking nicotinic acid or choline chloride significantly reduced the oviposition period. none
