A total of 424 parasitoids of the family Braconidae (Opiinae and Alysiinae) together with 25 specimens of Eucoilidae and Diapriidae were collected. Only five fruit fly species could be associated with braconid species. The majority of parasitoids belonged to the subfamily Opiinae namely Doryctobracon areolatus (Szepligeti), D. brasiliensis (Szepligeti), Opius bellus Gahan, Opius sp. and Utetes (Bracanastrepha) anastrephae (Viereck). D. areolatus was the most common species. Asobara anastephae (Muesebek) was the unique species of Alysiinae collected. The highest parasitism rate by braconids reached 22.4% for fruit flies larvae/pupae in star fruit, Averrhoa carambola. The lowest level of parasitism was found in peach, Prunus persica (0.6%). Average parasitism rates ranged from 0.6 to 11.0% for Tephritidae larvae on host plants, with a mean of 4.8%.
