none As part of a research program entitled "Studies on the biology of a beach wood soil" the Hymenoptera, which were collected by Fotoeclectors from 1979-1985, were investigated. A total of 7853 specimens were found, which were ordered to 11 superfamilies. The group with the highest abundance was that of the Proctotrupoidea, which contains 50% of all Hymenoptera found, followed by the Chalcidoidea with nearly 25%. The family of Ichneumonidae, which was 5% of the total harvest, has been assigned to 72 species, 50 genera and 12 subfamilies. Species saturation, dominance and persistence of the species were examined to characterize the Ichneumonid-coenose. We concluded that most of the species appeared at only one time and were represented by only one specimen; on the other hand the majority of the Ichneumonid-specimens were of only of few species. The analysis of parasitic behaviour and the comparison with corresponding woods showed that the beech forest in Ettligen is most suitable for the parasites of Diptera among the parasitic Hymenoptera.
