The exploration of this newer parasitoid as a biocontrol agent for the stalk borer pest has been investigated in the field. For this purpose, one acre field heavily attacked by Chilo auricilius was selected at PAU Sugarcane Research Farm at Jalandhar. One thousand adults of Allorhogas sp. were colonized during August and September 1984 and the recovery test was carried out for this from August 1984 to January 1985 by taking 136 field collected larvae of Chilo auricilius on four different dates under laboratory conditions.
