comment:
During the period 2001-2003, Chorebus gedanensis was established as a new parasitoid of Hexomyza schineri in Bulgaria. It was a new species for the braconid fauna of Bulgaria as well. Eight parasitoid specimens were reared from pest galls, collected on aspen (Populus tremula) in the outskirts of the town of Mezdra and the villages Gorni Lom (West Balkan Range), Dolno Kamartsi (Central Balkan Range) and Zheleznitsa (Vitosha Mountain). C. gedanensis developed solitary and emerged shortly after the hosts first appear.
