In a 4-year survey Doryctobracon crawfordi Viereck and Biosteres longicaudatus Ashmead were the most common parasitoids recovered from both Ceratitis capitata (Wiedemann) and Anastrepha spp. Other braconids recovered from both genera were D. areolatus Szepligeti, Bracanastrepha anastrephae (Viereck), and a Cynipid. Combined parasitization in both generally ranged from 0.04 to 7.95% (Av. 1.5%). The numbers were particularly low in economically important fruit crops such as coffee, orange, and peach. Combined parasitoid population was correlated with the combined fruit fly infestation at 5 elevation strata.
