The biology and morphology of the immature stages of Procitheronia principalis were studied, using insects collected from the field in São Paulo, Brazil. Larvae fed on Croton floribundus and there were 5 larval instars. Cotesia sp. and Mesochorus sp. were observed parasitizing P. principalis. The larval characters of P. principalis are compared with those of species of the genus Citheronia. none
