In Palampur, which falls in mid hill zone of Himachal Pradesh the species of Hymnia attacking Amaranthus was found to be Hymnia fascialis instead of H. recurvalis. The caterpillars of Hymnia fascialis showed 25% parasitization by Apanteles sp. Both pest and parasite constitute new record from mid hill zone of Himachal Pradesh. none
