none Not a Braconidae The biology of Neochrysocharis okazakii Kamijo, one of the most important parasites of the vegetable leafminer, Liriomyza sativae Blanchard in Fuzhou, was studied. The results showed: ( 1 ) honey supply could significantly prolong survival time of the adult parasites; (2) developmental rates of each stage of N. okazakii were linearly correlated to temperature between 20 >dcC to 33 [degree]C. The threshold temperature and the effective accumulated temperature for the whole generation was estimated to be 8.1 [degree]C and 188.7 day-degrees respectively. The life-span of the parasite shortened as temperature went up, and its intrinsic rate of natural increase ( rm ) became greater with increasing of temperature.
