comment:
none Studies conducted at Kalpetta (Wynad District), for a period of two seasons (1984 and 1985), revealed that natural enemies suppressed nearly 90% of the leaf miner population in the field. The hymenopteran parasites Closterocerus insignis (Eulophidae), Halticoptera sp., Sphegigaster sp. (Pteromalidae) and Opius sp. (Braconidae) parasitized 37.92%, 8.58%, 2.21% and 0.92% of the leaf miner population respectively and 39.11% of the pupae remained aborted.
